Tu-204-120CE is certified by CAACJune 29, 2007. The certification program within the framework of the contract on delivery of 5 Tu-204-120CE airliners to the Peoples Rupublic of China is now completed. General Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) issued Certificate ¹ VTC0185A which allows this aircraft type to be in service with Chinese commercial airlines.
Òó-204-120ÑÅ is the first Russian medium-range airliner powered by Rolls-Royce RB.211-535E4B engines, equipped with “English-language cockpit” and flight-control and navigational equipment in compliance with the certification basis of current aviation rules AP-25 and the basic requirements of EASA.
This achievement became possible due to collaborative endeavour of Tupolev design bureau, Aviastar-SP batch production plant and V/O Aviaexport, PLC with the assistance of Interstate Aviation Committee and CAAC.
As the result Russia officially obtains new type of aircraft that can be exported without any restrictions to South-East Asia and other regions. The completion of this process is the step to the final stage of certification of this Tu-204 modification according to the European airworthiness standards which is expected to be completed in 2007.
